Rant and Opinion: Gay Marriage

Matthew 7:1-5
Judging Others
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

John 13:34-35

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Equality.
Gender. Sexuality. Bible. Religion. Beliefs. Rights. Judgements. God. Love. Sins. Marriage.

These words mean so many things. Mean so much to some people. Important words, that are such big topics in the modern world today. Gay marriage. So many people don't support gay marriage, and it's always because of the Bible, God, and how disgusting it is to love the same gender. People think, there's a treatment to what you want and what you are. You know who's disgusting? You. Yes, you, the one who wants a person to change just because your beliefs say so. Saying it's wrong because it's gross. Saying it's wrong because you're supposed to love the opposite sex. Saying it's wrong because the bible says they're bad people. We're all about what's wrong and what's not, but are you/we forgetting the fact that the Bible also said we should love one another and not judge? But what are we doing now? What have these people molded into? They said sinning is wrong. That it is a wrong thing to do. But last time I checked, sinning involved hurting someone or a neighbor in the process of a certain action. You keep saying, "Gay marriage is a sin". You know what else is a sin? You, hurting your neighbor. How and why? Because you have to hurt someone in the process to shove your beliefs down their throats.

Now I ask you. What harm will gay marriage do to a person or the whole community? Will there be a war? Will people hurt each other? Will the religions change? People become so numb to what they're saying. We call people names behind a screen, and go crazy over gay marriage, but we don't care about racism. We don't fight for justice. We don't care about anything, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO GAY MARRIAGE EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS. I've had enough of this shit, and I have to go to school everyday hearing stuff like this about gays and people who are part of the LGBT community. People keep dissing about gay marriage, but have friends, even LOYAL and great friends who are there for them who are part of the LGBT community. What's wrong is, they judge people through their gender, but don't even try to see through what they are as a person. Not considering how much of a good person they are, but immediately judge because it's what they've been told to. Them being gay is a choice they chose to accept, and not some religion that they've been anointed with when they were born. They're gay because they accepted the fact that they are gay, and they know what they're doing, and they're brave for not being afraid to tell people that they are gay.

Whatever God it is that we believe in, we all came/come from the same one.
At least that's what I choose to believe in right now.

I'm done. You may now move on with your life.
