Genre. When we talk about genre, most of the time, we think of music, a group of people, a type or category, etc. Examples of genres when it comes to music are pop, punk, pop punk, rock, alternative rock, jazz, blues, rhythm and blues (r'n'b), hip hop, classical, etc.
Like music, people are separated into different groups based on their personality and what they are as a person; but the problem here, is why do people like pushing away or why do they like dumping (Thanks Meg and Miki) people for trying to be in their group or liking the same thing they do? I mean, I'm not being a hypocrite or something, but I've always wondered.
To be honest here, when I like something, I don't want most people knowing about it because most of them just rip it off and I end up disliking it, but still, WHY? Gets me all the time.
I'm actually a fangirl, if I must say so myself, but I've been into one of those times when I join a certain fandom and people just won't accept me and think that they're better than me or every single one of us Just because They were there first. I mean, what's wrong with supporting something with all your heart with other people as a group? We're all just here to support, right? So, what if for example someone was born earlier than you, and they got to taste pizza before you did, does that mean you aren't allowed to eat or taste pizza anymore?
It's so funny because this post reminds me of "Mean Girls".
There are the freshmen, ROTC guys, preps, JV jocks, Asian nerds, cool Asians, Varsity jocks, unfriendly black hotties, girls who eat their feelings, girls who don't eat anything, desperate wannabees, burnouts, sexually active band geeks, the art freaks, and the Plastics. Purpose of these groups: You get to choose where you wanna be and where you think you fit in. So what's the point of these groups if we're all just gonna push each other away?
Just what I thought.
We need to learn how to accept each other, because how can we find unity when there is no unity between us? How can we be one when we're all just pushing each other away? What's the point?
"All men are created equal, It is only men themselves who place themselves above equality."
